Kawa Mountains
The lodge

More than one place to settle

The common areas here are timber and warm colour, and there is more than one of them. Some evenings you want the fire and everyone around it. Some evenings you want a corner, a book and no conversation. You can have either without leaving the building.

The wood fire

There's a wood-burning fireplace in the common area, lit through the evening. The chairs nearest it fill up first.

The ski room

A drying room and storage for skis and boards, so nothing wet has to come into your room. Wax and brushes are on the shelf if you want them.

It changes with the morning — a Western plate one day, grilled salmon and rice the next. Add it when you book, or tell us after you arrive.

Dinner isn't part of a standard stay. Most guests head out, or have Hakuba Pizza delivered. If staying in is the only thing that works one night, ask us and we'll sort something out.

There's no shared kitchen, but you're welcome to use the microwave, and coffee, tea and drinking water are always free.
